Built in Canada. For Canadian pharmacies and clinics.
Replace PrescribeIT is operated by AutoRx Solutions Inc., a Canadian-owned company building automation tools for the Canadian community pharmacy and clinic ecosystem. We are an independent business — not affiliated with PrescribeIT, Canada Health Infoway, TELUS Health, QHR Technologies, or Loblaw Companies.
We built this site because the May 29, 2026 PrescribeIT shutdown (and the May 1 FreedomRx retirement that bookends it) leaves a real gap for thousands of Canadian pharmacies and clinics. Without a clear replacement, most of them go back to fax.
On the pharmacy side our flagship product is AutoRx — AI-automated fax-to-Kroll prescription intake, live and serving Canadian pharmacies. On the clinic side, we provide electronic prescription submission integrated with the major Canadian EMRs.
Why we built this site
When Canada Health Infoway announced PrescribeIT was shutting down, we watched the Canadian healthcare ecosystem react in real time. Some pharmacies started looking at manual workarounds. Some clinics started faxing again. The federal government published a new national open prescribing standard on May 1, 2026, but real-world vendor implementation will take months — likely 6 to 18 — before most EMR and pharmacy management systems support it.
That gap is the problem. For pharmacies on Kroll, the immediate issue is incoming fax volume — prescriptions that used to arrive electronically through PrescribeIT now come in as faxes that have to be manually transcribed. For clinics, the issue is more diffuse — the renewal-request flow, the cancellation flow, the dispense-status flow all revert to phone calls and faxes until vendor implementations catch up.
We built Replace PrescribeIT as a focused resource for both audiences. For pharmacies, we deploy AutoRx (our flagship product) to automate the fax surge. For clinics, we act as a transition partner — running a free discovery call, producing a written summary of what your clinic specifically needs, and pointing to the right tools and partners regardless of whether you engage us.
What we believe
Canadian-first, not retrofitted
Canadian pharmacies and clinics deserve software built for Canadian regulations, Canadian workflows, and Canadian privacy law — not US software with a Canadian marketing layer. Our compliance posture (PIPEDA, PHIPA, HIA, PIPA), our integrations (Kroll, OSCAR Pro, Accuro QHR, TELUS PS Suite, Microquest, WELL Health), and our provincial-regulation literacy are all Canada-native.
Patient data stays in Canada
Our pharmacy product is on-premise. Personal Health Information never leaves the pharmacy network. Cloud orchestration handles software updates without exposing prescription content. This is the most conservative deployment posture for PHIPA / PIPEDA compliance.
Pharmacist verification is non-negotiable
We automate the typing — not the clinical judgment. Every prescription enters a pharmacist verification queue before any dispense action. We do not bypass any controlled-substance handling, professional licensing, or provincial regulatory requirement.
No per-prescription transmission fees
The $0.20-per-prescription fee model that killed PrescribeIT adoption is not how we price. We charge a transparent monthly rate based on volume and number of stores, with no hidden per-transmission charges.
Who we work with
Pharmacy customers
Independent Canadian community pharmacies, multi-location pharmacy operators, and chain pharmacy groups running Kroll (TELUS Health). We have particular depth on Kroll versions deployed across Canadian community pharmacy today, including standard and chain configurations.
Clinic customers
Canadian family practices, walk-in clinics, multi-specialty clinics, and co-located pharmacy + clinic operations. We work with every major Canadian EMR including OSCAR Pro, Accuro QHR, TELUS PS Suite, Microquest, and WELL Health. If you're on a different system, mention it on the contact form — most Canadian EMRs can be supported with reasonable effort.
Common partnership scenarios
Many of the operations we serve have a clinic and a pharmacy at the same address or under common ownership. We handle both sides under one engagement and one point of contact, which is unusual for a Canadian software vendor in this space.
Compliance posture
We follow the Canadian federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) as well as provincial health-information privacy law: PHIPA (Ontario), HIA (Alberta), PIPA (BC), and the equivalents in each province where we operate. See our privacy policy for the full detail on how this site handles personal information.
